frogs start singing (19/72)

(working as part of a ‘Japanese 72 season micro-climate’ artist collaborative initiative within Treesisters)

Japanese season called ‘Rikka’/ Beginning of Summer. 5th May until 20th May .
Micro climate ‘frogs start singing’ 5th May – 9th May.

Have not heard frogs singing, but there are lots of tadpoles!
…and zooming in I find this happy wee creature!

Loving this vibrant, algal, green of a magical, spring fed, pond I remembered, where the tadpoles are always so happy.

Really noticed today how so many of our native spring flowers are yellow or blue….

Yellow for the gorse, the dandelions, the celandine, the primrose….
Blue for the violets, the bluebells, the eyebright and forget-me-nots…

Yellow and Blue make Green.

The greening continues pushing out….so lush and nourishing…..yes to the ‘beginning of summer’!
