JAPANESE MICRO CLIMATES PROJECT 2019

I was invited, in February 2019, by Divyam Chaya Bernstien, to join with other artists, inside Treesisters, (an online sisterhood I am heavily involved with), to celebrate the ancient, and beautifully titled, 72 Japanese micro climates.

As it has turned out, only two of us seem determined to complete the year, as an entire project.

This idea had me entranced, as it not only encouraged regular observation and connection with the natural world, which I do anyway as a key part of my practice, but I hoped would prove a neat way of also sharing/documenting my day-to-day creative process.

An artist’s journal, of sorts.

So these seasons became the framework to ‘carry’ my multi media, immediate, approach to life, for most of 2019. Although it did make my blog somewhat tricky to navigate!

I have made this landing page to help with this.

You can proceed to collection here (to scroll through the ‘seasons’ using the ‘next/previous’ arrows at the bottom of the screen)
OR

You can use the index below to dip in and out and see posts in any order!
