Rainbow flute player
Sometimes when I get overwhelmed I like to return to simple drawing practice. So I got out my charcoal and drew a wooden statue. This Balinese statue is of deep personal significance to me as I once gifted it to my mother, now passed, to remind her of me as I wandered. It now serves as a hat stand for a special Kinnauri hat I was once gifted.

I always used to see myself as a bit of a wandering flute playing minstrel….this resonates deeply…almost as a kind of self portrait.
I could not resist playing with creating a background using the ‘rainbow crow feather’ images from previous experiments….
